During the last five years of Brouwers directorship the fund has
grown in size and importance. The fund has an amount of 10 million
Euro to subsidise projects in architecture, urban planning and regional
planning in the Netherlands.
Janny Rodermond (1952) finished her studies urban and rural sociology
at the Katholic University of Nijmegen in 1979. For more than twenty
years she has been working in architecture journalism researching
the interaction between architecture and society. Her daily involvement
with a mixture of culture and commerce, in her duty as chief editor,
has important similarity with running a contemporary design practice.
Rodermond likes to take the challenge of using her diverge network
and experience in the context of policy.
