Groen en Water
Gevraagd wordt om een visie te ontwikkelen die leidt tot structurele verbetering van het groen en water van de wijk, 'De Punt' in Osdorp, Amsterdam. Deze wijk maakt deel uit van de Westelijke Tuinsteden, gebouwd in de jaren 60. De opgave voor deze prijsvraag is het doen van voorstellen/ingrepen in de openbare ruimte ten aanzien van het groen en het water, zodat de leefbaarheid in de wijk wordt verhoogd. The assignment consists of submitting ideas for the permanent improvement of the public green and waters in the area 'De Punt' of the Amsterdam city district Osdorp. This area is part of the so-called western garden cities (Westelijke Tuinsteden), built in the sixties. The assignment should result in proposals/interventions in public green and waters so that the quality of life in this area is raised.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR STUDENTS, BERLIN 2002
Every three years, the Union Internationale des Architectes (UIA) organizes an international congress of architecture. From July 22-26, 2002 it will be holding its XXI World Congress of Architecture in Berlin, entitled "Resource Architecture" in cooperation with the Bund Deutscher Architekten BDA. Accompanying the congress, an international urban design ideas competition will be held to promote young talent in the field of architecture. The aim of the competition is to collect design ideas for redeveloping an inner-city area in Berlin-Mitte. The ideas submitted are to make a user-oriented and resource-saving contribution to the development of this important district over the next thirty years and define an architecture for the 21st century.
voorwaarden / open to	Students with architecture and/or urban planning as their main subjects who have studied for at least two years are entitled to participate in the competition. Students who have chosen landscape planning, architecture and art as their main subjects may only participate in co-operation with students of architecture and/or urban planning. Co-operation with students from other disciplines, such as structural and civil engineering, ecology, sociology, etc., is expressly desired. However, each participant may submit one competition entry only and has to confirm his/her authorship of the project by his/her signature on the `Declaration of Authorship?sheet. Each participant may contribute to one competition entry only and may not, therefore, participate in more than one work team.

The GeoCenter Møns Klint

Ideas Competition for Urban Sustainability
The Government's Energy Efficiency Best Practice Programme has launched its fourth open ideas competition to promote sustainable development and the Design Advice service. The theme of this year's competition is urban sustainability and entrants will be invited to explore the issues of environmental, social, and economic sustainability. The five hectare site is the Lochend Butterfly and its surroundings, which lies about a mile from the eastern end of Princes Street in central Edinburgh.

THE GRAND EGYPTIAN MUSEUM COMPETITION
Near the Giza Pyramids, the new museum will pay homage to eternal Ancient Egyptian monuments, treasures, and history. The project aims to establish a state-of-the-art museum complex providing facilities and access to a broad range of information. The competition is organized in two phases. Phase one will begin May 2002 and end August 2002. The jury will select only twenty entrants who will pass on to the Second Phase. The Second Phase will begin November 2002 and end March 2003. The final winning projects in the Second Phase will be announced during the month of June 2003
voorwaarden / open to	The competition is open to all architects or teams led by architects with documentary evidence of their qualifications to practice architecture in their own country, or in the country of their residence, and therefore are authorized to take part in architectural design competitions at the date of registration for this competition.
