ABSIS
- Information System for Architecture, Building
Technology, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture (ABSIS). The
ABSIS database refers to journal articles about projects in architecture,
building science and urban design: - of Dutch and Belgian designers
at home and abroad; - of foreign designers in the Netherlands and
Belgium.

There are many Dutch
libraries with an on-line catalogue. Some of them have (more
or less) specialized architecture collections.
De Koninklijke Bibliotheek
- (The Royal Library) This is one of the oldest and most important
collection of art books in the Netherlands. This library collects
all Dutch publications, so it can be a important source. It
does not have a big collection of books about building engineering,
but it does have a lot of geographical maps.

Technical University Delft - Mainly for technical literature.
It has some 38.000 books and 275 magazine subscriptions, all concerning
architecture, city planning, landscape architecture and related
disciplines. You can log in with a telnet
application or a WWW-interface.

University Eindhoven - This library has got a collection of
500.000 books and 5300 magazine titles. In the library from the
faculty of architectural engineering you'll find 12,500 books and
300 magazine titles. The collection of Dutch topographical maps
is very special. You can log in by using a Telnet
application.
Public Library Amsterdam
- A specialized collection of literature about Amsterdam, and also
a collection of 19th century architectural books.

Agricultural University Wageningen - Contains AGRALIN
(Agricultural Bibliographic Information System of the Netherlands).
There's a collection of rare and old books (printed before 1850)
in the Special
Collections department. The TUIN
(the Garden and Landscape Architecture Documentation Centre for
the Netherlands) can also be found here.
Netherlands Institute
for Art History - No on-line catalogue, but still an important
collection.

In the libraries from universities with art- and architecture faculties
there are interesting collections to be found.
Library Universiteit
of Amsterdam - The catalogue form the Department
of Art history is part of the On-line
Public Catalogue from this university. It mainly collects modern
books.

Free University Amsterdam - The catalogue from the department
of Art History and Archeology is part of the Central
Catalogue. Accent on the 19th century.
Library Technical

ERASMUS University Rotterdam - Emphasis on art- and cultural
sciences. No special attention for architecture, but still there
are many relevant titles present in the UB-catalogue.
